Requirement into three years NCE program are as per the national Commission for Colleges of Education guidelines which are as follows;

A Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE), NECO, or GCE ‘O’ level with credits in five subjects including English language and Mathematics. Two of the credits must be obtained in the courses the candidate wishes to offer.

A grade II Teachers Certificate (TC II) with credits in five subjects, two of which must be relevant to the course the candidate wishes to offer, for the technical College, the subjects must include Mathematics/Arithmetic and other physical science subjects.

NABTEB/City and Guild/WAEC Technical/Craft/International Part II Course B. Certificate in Building and Woodwork, Mechanical or Electrical trades respectively plus the Federal Craft Certificate (FCC) with a least four credits passes in four academic subjects including Mathematics, Science, English Language and Social sciences.

WASC (Commercial) or BSA Stage II Group Certificate with credits in the five(5) subjects at not more than two sittings.
